On February 9, 1978, Robert E. Jones testified as follows to the Maryland Senate Committee on Economic Affairs which was considering whether to legalize the sale of Laetrile within the State of Maryland. Mr. Chairman and members of the Committee: I am Robert E. Jones of 5062 Fielding Lane, Temple Hills, in Prince George’s County. I am appearing before you today as the survivor of a cancer patient who, in her desperation to live, turned to laetrile in the last weeks of her life.
