Foot Doctor Loses Major Battle with California Board of Podiatric Medicine
News Release October 22, 2001 A Sacramento Superior Court Judge has upheld the license revocation of Dr. Garey Lee Weber D.P.M.. He is the former owner of a large Southern California podiatry group. The Doctors Foot and Ankle Centers has locations in Studio City, Irvine, and Victorville. Dr. Weber will no longer be permitted to practice podiatric medicine in California. Superior Court Judge Lloyd Connelly denied two challenges Dr. Weber made to the California Board of Podiatric Medicine’s authority to revoke his license. The Judge issued an order that now allows the Board’s revocation of his license to take effect. Dr. Weber was has 30 days to appeal this latest action. In July 2005, the California Board of Podiatric Medicine reinstated Gary Lee Weber, whose license was revoked in 2001. The reinstatement order, shown below, placed Weber on probation for five years with the provision that he follow the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons’ Preferred Practice Guidelines and have his practice monitored for three years.
