  • Leslie M. Quiram, DC: “How you feel is not always a good indication of how healthy you are; in fact, you may ‘feel fine’ while life-threatening subluxations are damaging your body. . . . Too many people who ‘feel fine’ one day can have a sudden heart attack, stroke, debilitating pain, or may be diagnosed with cancer the next. Effects of long-standing subluxations can come on slowly. Subluxations can cause any symptom, condition, or disease known to man. Getting checked for a subluxation today can prevent many problems tomorrow. ” [2/23/09]
  • Ed Rabin, DC: “Most people think chiropractic is simply a treatment for headaches, neck or lower back pain. In reality, chiropractic is a straightforward and effective way to help the body repair itself and to function at its maximum capability.” [2/23/09]
  • Robert A. Rakowski, DC, CCN, DACBN, DIBAK. and Roxanne E. Cockerell, DC, CCN: “At the Natural Medicine Center all of our Chiropractic’s are certified & licensed in Applied Kinesiology to determine health imbalance in the body’s organs and glands by identifying weaknesses in specific muscles. By stimulating or relaxing these key muscles, an applied kinesiologist can diagnose and resolve a variety of health problems.” [Accessed 12/24/99, site no longer posted]
  • Michael Reed, DC, DAc, and Lise Cloutier, DC, DAc: Posture check instructions and free email newsletter [9/15/01]
  • Jamie M. Ricks, DC, CSCT and Jeffrey A. Majors, DC, CCST: “Doctors of chiropractic specialize in the detection and correction of the vertebral subluxation complex, restoring the lines of communication within your body and improving your overall body function, healing potential and well-being.” [12/13/06]
  • Paul Rieselman, DC: “Not only do we analyze and correct your spinal mis-alignments (Subluxations) that cause PAIN and disrupt your nervous system from expressing the vital force nerve energy to every cell, tissue and organ in your body, BUT we also “Uncover” and provide key nutrients that your body is CRAVING–which then speeds up YOUR healing process. In addition, the doctor utilizes time tested Homeopathic Remedies and Flower Essences to clear out any toxic and emotional stressors.” [2/23/09]
  • Calvin Robbins, DC: “The pros and cons of chiropractic include a report on children under 3 years of age, where only one reaction for every 749 adjustments (manipulations) occurred (it was crying, NO serious side effects were reported)” [12/24/12]
  • Tory Robson, DC: “It truly upsets me to see children held at a distinct disadvantage because they are not experiencing a strong and healthy nerve system free of interference. Give your child every advantage to having a life and health others can only dream about. It’s easier to grow a healthy child than repair a damaged adult.” [8/31/07]
  • Chad Rohlfsen, DC: “The sole purpose of chiropractic is to locate and correct subluxations.” “Many babies receive their first subluxations during pregnancyBabies and children get subluxations, too and the birthing process. . . . People who understand the importance of spinal checkups and care bring their children into the chiropractor’s office when they are tiny infants.” [1/16/04]
  • Nicole A. Rothman, DC: “If there is an interference (called a subluxation) with the nervous system’s function, not only are there adverse health effects, but, because this interference distorts your perception of the world and compromises your ability to respond to the world, it can lead to psychoemotional problems as well. When this happens to a significant number of people in a society, it has a detrimental effect on society as a whole.” [Accessed 2/13/00, no longer online]
  • Darryl W. Roundy, DC, Gregory J. Wiles, DC, and Angi DeCapp, DC: “Unlike everything else in ‘Health Care’ (better known as Crisis Care) today, the Chiropractic message remains the same as it has for the last 102 years!” [4/29/07]
  • Drew Rubin, DC: “Chiropractors don’t cure or treat anything! We correct spinal subluxations, ALLOWING THE POWER THAT MADE THE BODY TO HEAL THE BODY. So, Chiropractic is good for EVERYONE, from infants to teenagers to college students to parents to grandparents. ANYONE WHO HAS ASUBLUXATION IS BETTER OFF WITH OUT ONE.” [2/23/09]
  • Jim Saclamacis, DC: “Chiropractic care can reduce, halt, and even reverse spinal degeneration by improving spinal balance and posture and keeping your joints, nerves, and discs, healthy and strong. Of course, the best approach to spinal degeneration is to prevent it in the first place! That’s why spinal check-ups for all children and adults should be a part of everyone’s health care regimen.” [12/24/12]
  • Jackie St. Cyr, DC: “Very often, just a gentle touch contact is all that is needed to release the “spinal magnetic tape” and to release the learned patterns which are inconsistent with our fluent growth and development. . . . The earlier in life a child has the opportunity to receive these adjusting clearings of the nerve system, the earlier in life the judgments, the traumas and the blocked energy flows which our children have learned can be released.” [7/7/04]
  • Bruce L. Salzinger, DC: “When a thorough examination reveals joints that are not in proper function, adjustments are applied to correct joint alignment/mobility, relieve associated muscle and nerve tension, improve balance and assist healing.” [2/21/04]
  • Steve Sand, DC: “Those who do not eat raw food or supplement their diet with enzymes put undue strain on the supply of enzymes in their bodies. Because enzymes are the only nutrients that can supply the body with energy needed for its activities, overuse can impair the functioning capacity of the body, making it susceptible to cancer, obesity, cardiovascular disease and a host of other illnesses.” [Last accessed, 1/3/99, no longer posted]
  • Steven Saul, DC: “Individuals who are not currently experiencing pain or other discomforts are not necessarily “subluxation free” . . . Subluxations are similar to cavities in that many times a significant amount of damage is present before symptoms such as pain are felt. This is why we recommend, like your dentist, that individuals seek periodic spinal evaluations to check for the presence of subluxations and other spinal abnormalities, even in the absence of pain.” [2/23/09]
  • Linda Rae Savage, DC: A B.E.S.T. practitioner, Savage sells a Bioelectric Shield (“to protect against EMF radiation and other negative energy”); a Bioenergy Disk (to “restore the vital bioenergy to your food”); pendulums; Brain Balance Kits (supplements to “help with the adverse effects of chemicals”); a Miracle Ring (to “bring back harmony, balance, rhythm, new ideas, and new dimensions,” and to “heal the aura, heal the magnetic body, make thinking clearer, harmonize the inner organs, and harmonize the rhythm of life.” She also sells “Zappers” built to Hulda Clark’s specifications.[6/5/01]
  • Larry W. Schadler, DC and Emily S. Schadler, DC: “Typical treatment consists of gentle spinal adjustments and adjunctive physiotherapy such as galvanic electric stim or ultrasound therapy. Instructions on the proper use of ice and heat, supplement prescription, and rehabilitation exercises are also given as needed.” [2/21/04]
  • Lee Schwartz, DC: “Children that are reluctant at first should be lovingly told that they must be adjusted and why it is so important (to keep their Power on!). As parents, we realize that our children are not going to like or enjoy everything that is good for them. Spinach is not enjoyable for most kids, and naps aren’t much fun either. . . . Chiropractic adjustments are vital to their good health, and the few tears that may occur on the first visit (usually because of fear of the unknown), are well worth the benefits to our precious little ones. Obviously, children who are adjusted regularly from infancy think of their visits to the chiropractor as a regular part of their lives and are not the least bit hesitant to climb onto the adjusting table. [8/31/07]
  • Dwight G. Shafer, DC: “I also offer nutritional help for those patients that are interested in maximizing their potential in total health care. I use natural whole food vitamins for our patients needs. Through nutitional questionares and specific muscle testing, proper treatment can be ascertained.” [5/21/04]
  • Robert Schiffman, DC: Chiropractic the the child’s best hope of a child’s nervous system being free from subluxations.” [1/18/05]
  • Scott Schlichtl, DC: “If left untreated, subluxation takes the form of ongoing degeneration known as ‘subluxation degeneration’ and can lead to chronic health related problems. . . . Progressive degeneration . . . can be halted, or slowed, with proper chiropractic care.” [8/9/05]
  • Frederick Schurger, DC: “If one of the upper two bones becomes misaligned, two things happen. First and foremost, it irritates or interferes with the brain stem and reduces the brain-to-body communication. Wherever those messages were intended to go, whether it’s your foot, kidney, pancreas, heart, lungs, eyes or ears, it is going to malfunction, become sick and possibly shutdown. Secondly, consider the upper spine a kinetic chain, connected from head to toe. If either of the top two bones becomes misaligned, the rest of the body must compensate or adapt, resulting in total “body imbalance” (see chart below). In the end, your health and physical body will be compromised. This condition is called a subluxation.” [9/14/15]
  • Bradley G. Semegon, DC: ” Dr. Semegon is dedicated to keeping you and your family well by keeping your spine in alignment. This allows your nervous system to function at its full potential, therefore, keeping your body healthy.” [4/20/03]

For life-threatening emergencies, seek medical attention. My experience and training in chiropractic, physiotherapy, nutrition and natural medicine gives me a broad base of knowledge and a variety of therapeutic methods to help you and your family. From your daughter’s headaches to your husband’s heel spurs, and most parts in between, I can help.” [6/12/02]
  • Tyson Shardlow, DC: “Notice if one shoulder is higher than the other or if the head tilts to one side. Both could be indications of the types of problems that respond nicely to chiropractic care.” [1/18/10]
  • Shaw Chiropractic (Steven Shaw, DC and five others): “It is important to emphasize that the chiropractors education is equal to and often superior to that of an MD.” (Statement in article for attorneys about how to prepare chiropractic expert witnesses for trial) [7/7/04]
  • Shilsky Chiropractic Center (Randy L. Schilsky, DC, Russell K. Davis, DC, Clayton E. Sparks, DC): “When two adjacent vertebrae become misaligned, the space between the vertebrae becomes constricted. Just as less water would flow through a hose which is partially kinked, fewer electrical impulses flow through the nerve due to the vertebral misalignment. This decreases the ability to fend off diseases, digest foods or engage in any other activity that requires normal nerve flow.” [1/2/04]
  • David Shores, DC: “Chiropractic care is essential for wellness. Chiropractic removes interference from your nerve system so there is no static in your line. Chiropractic Wellness Care keeps your spine and nerve system free from interference so that you body can function at its best all the time. This is why top performers receive Chiropractic Wellness Care.” [4/4/01]
  • Michael W. Shreve, DC: “Nerve impulses cause a cell to vibrate, telling it to increase or decrease its physiological function. Any interference to the nerve, even as slight as the weight of a single human hair, can send the wrong message to a cell, causing it to function too much or too little, producing a sick cell. Ultimately, this malfunctioning message system can damage the internal organs – the heart, liver, kidneys, lungs, et cetera. . . . Poor posture, tension, and even seemingly innocent everyday habits, such as a pattern of tilting your head to cradle a telephone, can cause Subluxation.” [12/13/01]
  • Allan Sicignano, DC: “Remember that a pinched nerve anywhere in the body may contribute to a symptom anywhere in the body.” [12/24/12]

[12/29/03]
  • David S. Slobodien, DC: “Scores of patients with chronic headaches, sinus problems, high blood pressure, ear infections, leg pain, arthritis, and many other illnesses have reported significant relief after chiropractic therapy.” 2/5/06]
  • James C. Smith, DC: “Just as dental care is a family affair, we believe spinal care should also be for everyone in your family. We offer a discount family plan to enable everyone in your family to avoid the future problems suffered by neglect. Just as you prevent tooth decay with maintenance care, we urge you to prevent spinal decay with regular preventative care in our clinic.” [8/30/04]
  • Sparlin Clinic ((Samuel J. Sparlin, DC; Edward G. Krolikowski, DC; Tony Denmark, DC; John D. Vilardo , DC; Walter A. Beaumont, III , DC; Edward E. Cordovado , DC; Stuart Daly , DC; Ken Mack , DC; Thomas J. Voyda , DC; and Jaime González , DC): “The largest chiropractic clinic in the nation” has a page stating: “What’s Your Health Problem? Effects of Vertebral Subluxations. . . . Misalignments of spinal vertebrae and discs may cause irritation to the nervous system and affect the structures, organs, and functions which may result in the conditions shown below. Click the area of the diagram where your problem is located to view a list of related areas and symptoms for that specific area.” [2/23/09]
  • Dan Spencer, DC, James C. Spencer, Sr, DC, and James C Spencer Jr, DC: “Chiropractic does not focus on the SYMPTOMS of a problem, as medicine often does. Rather, chiropractic works to remove the CAUSE of the problem, which in turn will reduce or eliminate the associated symptoms.” [1/23/04]
  • Wade Spoviero, DC: “I came in for low back pain and now I am having pain in my upper back? “Great! Your body is responding to the adjustments. Each vertebra is connected to another. To fully correct the spine, one area will be corrected and another will need work until it is fully corrected. It is a building process.” [6/21/06]
  • David Starkey, DC: The objective of chiropractic care is to resolve subluxations and to allow every organ, tissue and ceil to receive an optimal nerve supply. Complete health comes only when you have a complete and normal functioning nervous system.” [11/27/04]
  • Jeffrey States, DC and Ken Anderson, DC: “Since its beginning, chiropractic has been based on the scientific fact that the nervous system controls the function of every cell, tissue, organ, and system of your body.” [1/7/04]
  • Shirl Ammon Stone, DC: “I have had the opportunity to see babies with life threatening seizures change after receiving chiropractic adjustments. It is great to see the difference the correction of spinal nerve stress can make in the lives of the child and the child’s family.” [1/13/04]
  • Andrew Strauss, DC: “Dr. Strauss attempts to get to the root cause of a health problem rather than just treat the symptoms. He seeks to maximize the natural strengths of the body and its capacity to heal itself without the use of drugs or surgery.” [6/10/03]
  • Nancy L. Tarlow, DC: “Chiropractic is a non-invasive, non-surgical, drugless approach to health care. Therefore, you won’t have the side effects that you might have with medications and not have the risks associated with surgery. By adjusting the spine, Chiropractors find that many problems resolve within a short time. Medications and surgery are always available to you if Chiropractic cannot help you with your health problem, or if you are experiencing a ‘medical emergency.’ So, why not try something that is safe, without side effects first? [10/16/00]
  • Adiel Tel-Oren, MD, DC, LN, CCN, DACBN, DABOM, FABDA: “We do have plenty of experience with many types of cancer, but we try to focus mostly on the underlying pathological processes that allowed the disease to develop and correct them. We utilize bionutritional medicine to improve nutritional status while providing strong immune-boosting agents to help the body in its attempt to heal itself.” [3/18/06]
  • Daniel P. Towle, DC: “Since it is believed that illness appears as a functional imbalance long before it manifests physically, it follows that imbalance at any level of being—physically, emotional, or spiritual—will compromise the quality of one’s health. With biophysio-feedback testing, energetic imbalances can be detected before manifesting as physical illness. Using biofeedback, the BodyScan System maps the stress blueprint of the body, allowing the practitioner to prioritize protocols for each patient. The ability to identify stress imbalances at the sub-clinical level (not yet found with a blood test or x-ray) provides an ideal window for preventative stress management.” [1/25/02]
  • Roger Turner, DC: “If attempts to improve your health are unsuccessful, then correction of the misalignments in the skull and spine may be the missing link in your treatment program.” [4/22/04]
  • Clint Tuttle, DC, Mirelle Joseph-Tuttle, DC: “Dr. Clinton E. Tuttle: I was born to be a doctor of chiropractic. Since my first adjustment when I was one hour old (by my father: Dr. Clay Tuttle) I have lived a life of perfect health. Now it is my passion to help other develop the health lifestyle I have grown accustomed to.” [10/13/06]
  • John Vanderheym: “People who receive regular chiropractic adjustments have immune system competancy that is 200% greater than those who don’t. Children who have regular Chiropractic adjustments have fewer colds, ear infections and flu.” [1/22/05]

  • Jonathan Vito, DC, Brent W. Wells, DC, and Daniel Beau Ellis, DC: “Your spine is under constant strain. Most people don’t believe that they have a spine problem until the pain finally occurs. In many cases, by this time the problem has existed for many years, but the pain has not. Improper lifting, poor posture, accidents, falls, bumps and sleeping positions can all contribute to spinal problems. Because of this, regular chiropractic care may be necessary to correct subluxations and maintain the health of your spine—and your entire body.” [4/22/11]
  • Tom N. Vo, DC: “Chiropractic . . . is a holistic method that deals with treating the cause of the problem rather than just the symptoms. . . . Chiropractic adjustments support the body’s defense system, maximizing innate recuperative powers and minimizing the need for more invasive procedures.” [5/18/04]
  • Gregory J. Wastl, DC: “Due to everyday stressors such as yeast, fungus, bacteria, viruses, parasites, heavy metals, chemicals and food sensitivities, the body’s interacting energy fields become imbalanced long before a disease is diagnosed. Once a disease is diagnosed, disrupted or blocked, energy fields must be addressed for the innate forces of self-healing and regeneration to become more active.” [11/27/04]
  • Christiane P. Wear, DC: “From birth to old age, our bodies are constantly changing. Everyday living takes a toll on our bodies, causing minor trauma to the spine, ligaments and muscles. Chiropractic care can help keep your spine healthy so you can keep going for the next 30, 40 or 50 years.” [2/21/04]

  • Todd Whipple, DC, Laura Whipple, DC: “The EB 305 energy balancer was designed and developed to restore the body’s energy and balance while facilitating and aiding in its natural detoxification process. This device has been proven in clinical trials to balance and restore the body’s Ph and electromagnetic energy.” [3/16/05]
  • Chris Wilkerson, DC: “Chiropractic is like dentistry, more specifically Orthodontics. A person does not need a Chiropractor any more than they need a dentist. If your spine is anatomically correct, freely moving and you observe the proper biomechanics of daily living you do not need to see a Chiropractor for anything other than a ‘Tune Up.’ The equivalent of a ‘Tooth Cleaning.’ Any Chiropractor that promotes continued treatment is or should be explaining that he or she is referring to “prevention.” “Chiropractors look at your spine, like an engineer looks at a bridge.” [1/2/04]
  • Douglas Willen, DC: “With Contact Reflex Analysis, I am able to pinpoint underlying functional problems caused by nutritional deficiencies that are undermining my patients health and robbing them of the vitality and well-being they are seeking. . . . Make an appointment today to have a comprehensive C.R.A. exam and find out what’s at the root of your problem.” [12/5/02]
  • Kelly G. Worth, DC, FAFICC, DACAN, DABCI: “Thermographic and neurometric readings can . . . be captured to help pinpoint and isolate specific areas of your spine that are subluxated or in need of therapy.” [1/12/04]
  • Tom Wright, DC: “The Chiropractic Practice Objective: The professional practice objective of chiropractic is to correct vertebral subluxations also referred to as nerve interference, in a safe and effective manner. The correction of nerve interference is not considered to be a specific cure for any particular symptom of disease. It is applicable to any patient who exhibits nerve interference regardless of the presence of absence of symptoms or disease.” [1/13/05]
  • Jay Yuhas, DC: “You can never be all you can be with a subluxation. . . . Who should be checked. Anyone with a spine.” [1/2/04]
  • Christopher Zaino, DC: “Spinal corrective care can be compared to orthodontic corrective care. Depending on the severity of the condition, it takes several months to several years to attain maximum correction and then a lifetime of maintenance if long-term normal function and optimal health is your goal.” [2/22/15]
  • Peter M. Zeischegg, DC: “Candida Albicans is the most common yeast found in the human intestinal tract. Normal intestinal bacterial flora keeps yeast in check. The overgrowth of Candida in the intestinal tract is affecting at least one third of the people in the United States.” [1/2/04]
  • Charles Zollner, DC: “The Pro-Adjuster is one of my primary adjusting tools. It is a state-of-the-art, computerized adjusting instrument that allows me to very specifically and gently move a misaligned bone back into its proper place. It is best described as a very tiny, gentle jackhammer that fits in my hand. As I softly tap the bone into place, the computer graphs the motion of the bone and automatically stops when the bone has reached the end of its desired movement. I’m able to move the bone in the precise direction required for the ideal correction. The repetitive motion of the instrument helps break up scar tissue and adhesions within the joint that inhibit proper motion.” [1/23/04]
